This code is formulated with a view to standardizing the scope, methods, and criteria, and unifying the technical requirements for the design of?fish lifts?for hydropower projects.
This code?is applicable to?the?design of fish lifts?for hydropower projects.
The design of fish lift for a hydropower project shall take into account the topographical, geological, and hydrological conditions?of the project,?and the biological features?of the migration?fish, be?coordinated?with the general?layout?of the hydropower?complex,?and?follow?the principles of safety, reliability, technical feasibility, cost-effectiveness,?and ease of management.
Novel technologies,?novel processes, novel materials, and novel equipment shall be actively adopted in the design of fish lifts?for hydropower projects.
In addition to this code, the design of fish lifts?for hydropower projects shall comply with other current relevant standards of China.
